Video Script Writing Guidelines (Feel free to modify as needed)
Duration of the recording: Two to three minutes
Preparation:
- Think of the key message you would like to share with your audience about the book.
- Write the script of the video which should cover three parts and duration don't exeed 3 minutes:
- Introduction
- Hook the Audience: Start with a question, surprising fact, a bold statement, or an engaging story related to your work.
- Introduce yourself: Briefly state your name, title, and your research interests
- Body
- Present the book, title, author(s), publisher, subject …
- Describe the novel and intriguing aspects of the book
- Highlight key findings or themes that makes it interesting to read
- If you wish, elaborate on what inspired you to write about the topic adding a personal touch that could resonates with readers.
- Conclusion
- Recap the key highlights of your book and encourage viewers to explore it further.
- Call to Action: Invite your audience to take the next step—whether reading the book, following your social media, or visiting a website
OR use a any method you wish to write the script introducing yourself and elaborating on your work limiting the reading duration to 2 to 3 minutes if possible.
In both cases, we kindly ask you share with us the script of the video ahead of time and try to have it with you during filming. We will provide you with a screen to read from.
