LIBCAT - Library Catalog: Saved Searches

A guide on how to use the Online Library Catalog to find books, theses, course reserves and other library materials, and on how to create an account allowing you to put items on hold, renew items online, and save searches.

Saved Searches

If you have a favorite author or subject for which you often search when using the catalog, you can save the search with the click of a button.


How to save searches

  • Login to My Account
  • Conduct a search
  • When results are displayed, click on Save as Preferred Search
  • The next time that you log in to your My Account, you can click the button to see a list of your saved searches.
  • Click on the Search link associated with any of the preferred search terms in the list to quickly execute your search.


How to save individual records

  • Login to My Account
  • Conduct a search
  • Select and mark one or more records
  • Select a list from the drop down menu
  • Click on "Save to My Lists"
  • The next time that you log in to your My Account, go to "My Lists" and click on the List Name e.g Body image to see a list of your saved records.
