Library Resources and Services During COVID-19: Now and Here

This page contains all information related to the AUB University Libraries' current operations in response to the COVID-19 outbreak work challenges. 

Working Hours:

Except for Saab Medical Library, AUB Libraries are closed until further notice. However, library staff are coming to work and are providing remote services and they are occasionally meeting researchers in person by appointment.

Most Library services, events and workshops moved online.  

Research Services: 

Thesis Help: Services and resources including access to the Thesis Manual  and the  Guidelines to LDEM capstone projects.


Document Delivery Services (DDS): Order articles not found in the library e-resources.


  • NEEmbed a librarian remotely in your class to help you find and add resources for your class in Moodle, and to help your students with their class assignments and research. 
  • NEW Online Workshops:  To schedule virtual library workshops, please contact, or call ext. 2620/2629

Scanning Course Materials: Faculty members are welcome to request the scanning of course readings from the library collection. Library staff will scan and email the material in PDF format within 24 hours.

Borrowing Books: Please send us a list of the books you need. Library staff will prepare the books and will notify you when the books are ready for pick-up from AUB Jafet library entrance, any time between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. NOTE: you need to show your AUB ID in order to enter the campus and to check the books outCall 2619/2620, or email us at, .

NEW Library Overdue Fines Have Been Waived: The University Libraries are exceptionally waiving all overdue loan fees for checked-out books and other library materials until further notice.

NEW Renewing  Borrowed Items: The loan period for all borrowed items has been extended till May 25, 2020. You don't need to renew library items for now. For information:

Returning Borrowed Items: You can return borrowed items to Jafet library anytime during weekdays between 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Please email us prior to your library visit, so we can arrange your access to the campus.
