Keeping up to date for the progress of your research by creating:

- Saved searches alerts
- Cited articles alerts
- Cited author alerts
You can usually set up a TOCs alert through the publisher's home page for a journal.
You can set a saved search alert through Google Scholar, but you should have a gmail account.
Most databases have the saved search alert feature,but the below databases are the most comprehensive and you can also use them to create cited article alert and cited author alert (Note: you have to register in these databases in order to be able to set search alerts).
- Scopus
Scopus is a comprehensive, bibliographic database covering scientific, medical, technical and social science subjects.
- Web of Knowledge
Web of Knowledge provides seamless access to the Science Citation Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index, Arts & Humanities Citation Index, and Medline.
